DATA & REPORTING

Build the report once. Improve the process behind it.

Collect information from agreed sources, validate it and prepare repeatable outputs. Reduce the manual preparation behind daily, weekly and monthly reporting.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The report is only as useful as the process that prepares it.

When teams merge files and copy figures by hand, each reporting cycle introduces opportunities for inconsistency. We define the sources, transformations and checks so the output can be prepared in a repeatable, explainable way.

WHAT WE CAN ENGINEER

Scope built around
your requirements.

Capabilities are selected for your process, users and systems. Every engagement has an agreed scope.

Collect & consolidate

Bring the required data together.

  • Excel and spreadsheet consolidation
  • Business-system extraction
  • File merging
  • Scheduled exports

Check & transform

Make the preparation rules explicit.

  • Data-format and completeness validation
  • Reconciliation checks
  • Defined transformations and calculations
  • Exception reporting

Prepare & distribute

Deliver an output the team can use.

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Dashboard-feed preparation
  • Operational reporting
  • Scheduled delivery and status notifications

HOW IT FITS TOGETHER

A repeatable reporting cycle.

Source availability, validation results and exception handling determine whether a report is ready to distribute.

  1. Collect sources
  2. Validate
  3. Transform
  4. Reconcile
  5. Prepare output
  6. Review
  7. Deliver

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

Start with a real
operational problem.

Illustrative scenarios—not client case studies or claims of existing integrations.

A weekly spreadsheet consolidation

Staff collect files from several teams and manually combine them into one report.

Validate the expected inputs, standardize their structure and prepare a consolidated output with missing or inconsistent data flagged.

Management reports prepared from multiple systems

The same extraction and formatting work repeats every reporting period.

Schedule supported data retrieval, apply agreed transformations and produce a consistent reporting package.

A dashboard waiting on manual updates

The dashboard exists, but someone still prepares its input files by hand.

Automate the data preparation and delivery steps, with checks before the feed is updated.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Can you work with Excel-based processes?

Yes. File structure, formulas, source quality and business rules are reviewed before implementation. The aim is to automate a defined process, not assume every workbook behaves the same way.

Do you build dashboards too?

Dashboard-feed preparation and operational interfaces can be scoped where needed. We first distinguish the data preparation problem from the visualization requirement.

What happens if a source file is missing?

The agreed rules determine whether to hold the report, notify an owner or produce a clearly qualified output. Missing data should not silently look like complete data.

How do you define scope and timing?

We review the users, systems, rules, dependencies and acceptance criteria before proposing a delivery plan. Timing depends on the agreed scope, access to systems, feedback and third-party requirements.

Can you work with existing systems?

We assess the available APIs, interfaces, access permissions and operational constraints. Where an API is unavailable, other approaches may be possible after a feasibility review. We do not assume every system can be connected.
